Reburned Shou Sugi Ban Board - satin finish (processing time - 3 weeks)

from $40.00
**Customizations at bottom of Description.**

Details:
These pine boards have been deeply burned and resurfaced then reburned back to black, leaving just a very small "gator effect" throughout parts of its smoothed 3D surface. They are sealed in Danish oil. Danish oil penetrates into the wood to seal the fibers and protect the surface. The sheen contrasts in different lighting, from a light reflecting satin sheen on the hard grain, to a flat sheen on the softer grain. This unique appearance is shown in the photos above.

Maintenance:
These boards are sealed in Danish oil. Danish oil does not crack, chip, or peel; however, if you feel it needs a little "freshening up" just sand the surface very lightly with a medium fine grit sanding brush or sanding sponge. Wipe the surface clean with a microfiber cloth or tack cloth. Then, apply a new coat of Danish oil with any brush or even a lint free cloth, let it penetrate for 15 minutes, then wipe clean. This finish can be found at most hardware stores.

You can also use a wax or furniture polish/conditioner to help preserve the finish.

Contact is Important:
Item is made upon order. All 6 sides of the boards are burned, resurfaced, reburned, and sealed. If you need a clean cut on the ends let me know before or as soon as you make your order, as I get started very quickly.

Shipping Insurance:
I will send you a picture of your item before I ship it. If in the rare but unfortunate event that something happens to your order during the shipping process, it is insured by USPS or FedEx Home Delivery. Please make sure that the delivery location is safe and secure because your item is only insured until it is delivered. The insurance only covers packages that are lost while in the carriers possession during the shipping process, and damages made during their shipping process, but it does not cover delivered packages that have been stolen after a successful delivery.
